I jumped into birth/postpartum work after nannying for a family who struggled significantly through their early motherhood. I remember asking “how can I help” numerous times each day I arrived at her house. When her kiddos went off to school and I began supporting other families through in home nanny care, I realized so many other families struggle too! Fast forward a few years- I’m working as admin for a corporate company where I begin to dread showing up. I’m feeling burnt out, unfulfilled, and stressed. I start to toy around with the idea of working in home with families again and then my sister calls and announces she’s expecting. At this point I knew I wanted to be part of her village, and learned I could be other families villages too. That same spring I sign up and complete my Infant Care and Postpartum Doula certification through ProDoula. By late summer, I quit my admin job and have been working with families since!

When I’m not snuggling babies or supporting new parents, you can usually find me just south of Madison, Wisconsin, where I live with my fiancé and our two pups. We keep a small flock of chickens and spend as much time as we can outside—gardening, tending to our flower beds, and soaking up the sunshine. This love for slow, intentional living is something I bring into my work with families, too.
